Now Identifies: Synthetic Diamonds as small as 0.02ct
Helps screen out Type IIa colorless diamond (D to J color), which is likely to be synthetic and created through chemical vapor deposition (CVD) or high pressure high temperature (HPHT) syntheses, from the natural Type Ia colorless diamond. Uses UV irradiation, making the difference in the light absorption significant enough to aid in differentiating between colorless Type Ia and Type IIa diamonds.
Works on both mounted (with open-back setting) and loose diamonds. Test diamonds as small as .02 to 10 ct.
Power via AC adapter (included) or 4 AAA batteries (not included). Protective zippered pouch. One year factory warranty.
Indicator light bars to give clear results of natural diamond (blue light) and type IIa diamond (red light).
